What you need to start work as a support worker

There are minimum requirements for joining our team to ensure that we meet our obligations as a high-quality registered support work agency. With our members always at the front of our minds, we'll only hire the very best students that can work independently and deliver quality support.

Our minimum requirements

You will need to meet the following criteria before starting work as a support worker. You may not qualify immediately, and we will assist you to meet the requirements.

• Enrolment in a health-related field of study at a university
  

• Travel 20 or more minutes to work
  

• Attend a mandatory with therapists once a month
  

• Do more than 6 hours per week
  

• Have a valid driver's license
  

• Have a car with valid car insurance
  

• National police clearance
  

• Working with children's check
  

• NDIS workers clearance
  

• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  

• Mental Health First Aid certificate
  

• First Aid Certificate
  

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate
  

• Vaccinations and immunisations
